XXXVIII International Ethological Congress
Behaviour 2025
August 25 - 30, 2025 | Kolkata, India
The logo of Behaviour 2025 embodies India's profound biodiversity and cultural vibrancy, harmoniously blending art and nature. At its center, is the Royal Bengal Tiger, the national animal of India, representing the host region. The backdrop features a stylized tree inspired by the Sundarbans mangroves, home to this iconic predator and one of the world's most diverse ecosystems. Surrounding elements, including a butterfly, a chameleon, and vibrant flowers, celebrate India's extraordinary ecological richness.
The radiant red sun, intricately adorned with traditional Indian motifs, symbolizes life's energy and cultural depth, bridging science and art. Together, these elements pay tribute to the interconnectedness of life and the beauty of nature, reflecting the congress's core mission to explore behavioral patterns and ecological harmony. The logo invites participants to engage in a shared journey of discovery, fostering global collaboration and understanding at Behaviour 2025.
The logo has been designed by Shramana Kar, a Ph.D. student from IISER Kolkata.
